Entries
Competitors enter online. The rulebook does the checking.
Riders and trainers enter from their own screens. As classes go on an entry, eligibility rules are enforced automatically, so a class a horse cannot take does not make it onto the entry in the first place. Entry numbers are issued and managed by the show.
Scheduling
The in-gate publishes the order of go.
The office sets the show out across every ring and every day, and decides when entries open and when they close. When the order of go goes up at the gate it is live to the office, the trainers and the riders at the same moment.
Ring operations
What is happening in every ring, while it happens.
Ring status, class progression, and results, as they happen. The board at the in-gate, the screen in the office and the phone at the show read the same thing at the same time.
Financials
Every fee on the entry it belongs to, through to close-out.
Each entry carries its own account with fees itemised on it. Competitors check out, the show closes out, prize money is handled, and payments are processed in the same system that ran the rest of the week.
